Christy Francis @christy_francis_artist is a multidisciplinary teaching artist, based in Western New York, USA.
Her work explores the wildly varying experiences of womanhood and girlhood, often focusing on the complexity of holding multiple emotions at once.
In ART MAKER 4: INNER WORLDS 🔮, Christy tells us more about her practice:
‘I hope my work reassures women that it’s okay to feel a lot of things at once. It’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to be weird. It’s okay to resolve or not resolve conflicts in your life. I can grieve a loss and still admire Lily of the Valley growing at my door. I can worry for the world my kids are navigating and still laugh at their jokes. I can see all the broken things and still try to find magic in being here.’
