14 days agoI went to PATH today and the worker at the front desk told me they did not have rental assistance, that they no longer offer case management and they only offer management for families who are homeless and/or in their shelters. I have also called Housing Rights Center and Stay Housed LA and there appears to be no clear path to receive rental assistance aside from a workshop that “screens” but there appears to be no actual program executing assistance. @stayhousedla @pathpartners @housingrightscenter please update your list to provide an accurate list of resources for people in need and help facilitate ways to actually begin to be able to provide rental assistance if there are funds for that. It is irresponsible to have a list where orgs are saying they do not in fact have that program.
a month agoHere’s a fun fact: Agencies are now using Equifax Work Number to verify your employment and income.
a month agoDo they really offer this assistance? Or are they justifying my need for the assistance and fictitious case noting on clarity, perhaps saying something like I’m hard to reach by phone. Lol
a month agoI have a question. I live in Los Angeles California The benefits are also for us too or has to be out of state to apply for it
a month agoPATH kept blowing me off last year, giving me the runaround for several months, even after I got a new job and came back with proof of ability to pay in the future. I lost that apartment. Thanks for nothing PATH. There's more undisclosed checkboxes than listed here you have mark with a lot of these. They're very exclusionary and likely biased individual case workers. They want us dying an addicted to crack before they help us with $200. Not enough help to actually help, just enough to keep themsleves funded, unless you check the right boxes...
