Wayne J. Haydin Jr., J.D. | President

Meet Wayne J. Haydin Jr., J.D., a member of the 2026–2028 Executive Board of the Atlanta Metropolitan Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Federation, serving as President.

A proud New Orleans native and Southern University alumnus, Wayne earned his B.A. in Political Science in 2004. His leadership on the Yard included serving as SGA President from 2003–2004, as well as being a member of the Southern University Marching Band, Political Science Association, and serving as a Resident Assistant. Wayne continued his Southern education at the Southern University Law Center, earning his Juris Doctor in 2009. His legal career has included service as a judicial law clerk and work within the court system, and he currently works in personal injury law, helping clients throughout Metro Atlanta.

As President, Wayne brings a longstanding commitment to leadership and service as he leads the chapter in strengthening alumni engagement, expanding its impact, and advancing the legacy of Southern University. Moving with a Seriousness of Purpose. 💙💛

DeLisa Rodney, CPCU, CLU | Immediate Past President

Meet DeLisa Rodney, CPCU, CLU, a member of the 2026–2028 Executive Board of the Atlanta Metropolitan
Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Federation, serving as Immediate Past President. A proud graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, DeLisa brings more than 35 years of experience across the government and corporate sectors, with executive leadership experience in insurance, project management, and financial services. She currently serves as CEO of Rodney Retreats Travel Agency.

DeLisa’s commitment to leadership and service extends throughout the community, including board service with
several nonprofit organizations. She is also a certified Personal Development Coach, an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.,
