What if the monsters hiding under a child’s bed discovered that the scariest thing in her life was happening outside her bedroom? AI filmmaker @simonmeyer_director and @promptrstudios created a powerful 3-minute short film that interviews three childhood monsters who have spent years frightening a little girl named Mila. But when she suddenly stops being afraid of them, they decide to find out why. What they discover turns the entire story around, revealing the devastating impact domestic violence can have on children. Created with Kling AI 4.0 in association with @nomore, the film shows how AI filmmaking can be used to tell meaningful stories and raise awareness about serious issues. According to UNICEF, one in four children worldwide lives with a mother who has experienced intimate partner violence in the past year. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has sparked controversy after arguing that keeping large amounts of RAM in personal computers is an inefficient use of the world’s limited memory supply. Speaking on the Cheeky Pint podcast, he said computer memory often sits unused for much of the time, while centralised data centres could put it to greater use by serving multiple users. His remarks come amid a global RAM shortage, as surging AI infrastructure demand puts pressure on memory supplies and consumer hardware prices.
