Many runners crossed that line today, these three were just the fastest to do it 🏁.

Stitches against violence - a worldwide public knitting and crocheting protest against gender based violence An initiative of stitch sip knit x @footprint_vienna x @stop.wien We will join our forces again on the 18th of November at 5:45pm (CET) and spend around 20 min knitting/crocheting on public transport to publicly condemn gender based violence ✊🏻 This protest is worldwide so where ever you are join us on the 18th of November at 5:45 pm(CET), get on your public transport and craft away for 20 min. We will be wearing something red as a sign of solidarity and to recognise each other. This can be a hat, a scarf or a red scrap yarn. We invite everyone who isn’t in Vienna to join us in solidarity. Take your friends, your colleagues, your family with you and join us for these 20 min. In Vienna we will protest on Tram line 1 and we will ride until Burgring. We will then continue to do a fibre arts walk towards St Ulrich Platz were we will join all together at the memorial of femicides. During the protest we will once again work on 10x10cm squares that we will turn into blankets that have anti violence statements and help hotlines embroidered on them. You can of course also donate squares that have already been made. Fairuz (born Nouhad Wadie Haddad) is an iconic Lebanese singer, widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists in the Arab world. Born in Beirut in November 20 1934, she rose from a modest radio chorus singer in the 1940s to an international superstar, bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions. Throughout the Lebanese Civil War (1975–1990), Fairuz continued to tour globally but notably refused to perform within Lebanon to avoid appearing biased. Her unifying voice transcended sectarian lines, and her songs of peace and love became an anchor for the Lebanese people. She has recorded nearly 1,500 songs, performed in 20 musicals, and starred in major musical films (like Safar Barlik). She has performed at iconic international venues, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York.
