Last week I had the privilege to speak at the “ICON” series at Springboard Conference. Asked to pose with a GOAT. Fifteen years ago, the words people used to describe me were not ICON or GOAT, more like crazy, misfit, rebel, troublemaker. They were probably right too.
I shared three things at the Franchise Icon Insider Series that I wish someone had told the kid with one location.
Know your why. Products change, customers change, the economy changes. Your why is what carries you through it.
Get better at doing hard things. The problems don’t disappear, they get bigger with scale. Stop wishing them gone and get better at crossing them.
Enjoy the journey. Be where your feet are planted. The people building with you, and the people supporting you while you build, won’t stay in this season forever.
