Worthy Teems

I’ve always been interested in how art is viewed when context is changed. What is classified as graffiti versus street art? How does a frame elevate the value of an art piece? Why is art set up and lit and shown indoors so appreciated and art outside is so easily looked down on? Street art shows the history of those who have walked those roads. It gets worn down and covered up, a collaborative form of artistic community. It is way more accessible to artists who want to share their work. But again, where is the line drawn? How can art elevate a space? A wall I would have walked past without second thought now has me standing still in admiration and curiosity. Being in Florence has me stoping at almost every corner asking myself this. This is a collection of some art that has stood out to me throughout the city.
