At our 2026 Make Equality Reality Gala, we honoured the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre with Equality Now’s Courage Award, recognising her extraordinary determination to challenge powerful institutions, demand accountability and create a path for other survivors to be heard.⁣ ⁣ Presenting the award, Mariska Hargitay reflected on the enormous burden placed on survivors who speak out, and our collective responsibility to ensure their courage leads to meaningful change.⁣ ⁣ Virginia’s brother and sister-in-law, Sky and Amanda Roberts, accepted the award on her behalf, sharing personal reflections on her life, her legacy and her unwavering commitment to justice.⁣ ⁣ Through their continued work with SOAR (Speak Out, Act, Reclaim), they are carrying forward Virginia’s vision of a world where survivors are heard, supported and able to seek justice, regardless of who holds power.⁣ ⁣ As Sky reminded us, Virginia had two words for anyone who told her something wasn't possible: “Watch me.”⁣ ⁣ Her courage helped change the world. Now it is our collective responsibility to ensure her legacy leads to lasting justice and accountability.⁣ ⁣ #MakeEqualityReality #ChooseCourage #EndSexualViolence
The ultimate immune booster for flu season! ☀️🧡☀️If you’d like the recipe comment RECIPE and I’ll send it to you! Is the flu going around where you are?! Because it is around here so I’ve been making a big batches of JAMU! 🧡 This with lemon cayenne tea, zinc and bio available vitamin c and brothy soups I swear by to keep immune systems up. First time I had this drink was in Indonesia. It’s a traditional wellness elixir that has been enjoyed for generations! Made with powerful natural ingredients like turmeric and ginger, it’s packed with anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants to help support your immune system and overall wellness. You can drink it cold as a refreshing shot or warm it up like a soothing tea! You can buy these in shots at the store for like $4–$5 so let’s make a batch for you to enjoy that will workout to like 10 cents a shot! ✨ Here’s why I love it! ⚡️ Helps support a healthy inflammatory response ⚡️ Rich in antioxidants that help protect your cells ⚡️ Supports your body’s natural immune defenses ⚡️ May support brain health and cognitive function ⚡️ Supports healthy digestion ⚡️ Helps protect against oxidative stress associated with aging ⚡️ Warming, soothing and refreshing ⚡️ A naturally vibrant way to wake up your senses ⚡️ A great alternative to sugary drinks ⚡️ A little wellness boost to put some pep back in your step! ;) Whether you’re feeling under the weather or just want to give your body a little extra love, this is such a beautiful way to start your day! ☀️ #fluseason #immuneboosting #healthyrecipes
Absolute cinema from the @nycmarathon women’s race. Six seconds separated first from second. One second separated second from third. And somehow, the most important detail is that Jess McClain bought her @brooksrunning shorts at Fleet Feet. 😂 Sheila Chepkirui claimed her second New York City title in 2:24:36, @jesstonn delivered a huge American runner-up finish in 2:24:42 and defending champion Hellen Obiri crossed one second later. Swipe for the drama—and a closer look at the now-famous shorts.
And the Emmy for “Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series” goes to LUCKY CHOW! @franfilm and I are incredibly lucky to do work that we love — traveling the world in search of delicious stories to share — and beyond honored to be awarded for doing just that. Truly a "pinch me" moment! I created Lucky Chow 10 years ago with the early and ongoing support of @caamedia, @pbs @ampublictv @createtvchannel and will be eternally grateful for their dedication to amplifying #aapi voices. Huge thank you to @dearclarissa and all those who trust us to tell their stories…as well as those who tune in! And, of course, thank you to the Academy and @theemmys.tv ! #Luckychow #Emmys #grateful
A little sunshine, a few flowers, and a smile I couldn't hide. 🌼 Now tell me… would you stop and say hello, or just smile back? 😉❤️ #LiviaMae #FlirtyVibes
