This month, in room full of almost 400 people, we did something that my parents always told us was one of the most important things you can do in life- we kept our promise. When @aurorahealthcare merged with @atriumhealth and became @advocatehealth years ago, we made a promise to Milwaukee that we would invest significantly in #communityhealth, and further committed to bring that promise to life on the Near West Side, an area with so much grit, determination and passion.

I am so proud that we could celebrate this sensational milestone and share what we have building - The Beacon- our nearly $50M community health wellness and innovation hub that will focus on impact in 3 areas that we selected based on listening to over 1000 residents, neighbors, community organizations, local teammates and leaders: 1) health and wellbeing, 2) community and connection and 3) sustainability and opportunity. And we doubled down on our promise at the amazing @harleydavidson museum not too far from The Beacon. We are moving forward with an amazing sense of unity.

When we open the doors of The Beacon later in 2027, everyone will remember this milestone and the community that showed up and locked arms with us.

Thank you to every single person who made this event possible, every single person that’s working on this ambitious community-powered transformation, every leader and teammate that has contributed their time, talent and support, and every voice that gave us your insight. There are too many people to thank but you know my heart is swollen for you!
