What a joy it was to host our very first Tapas and Tenant Rights fundraiser for @caaavnyc! We raised $2648 supporting the grassroots fight for tenant rights here in NYC.
Thank you to the team from @slumlordmillionairefilm and @leeeuge, CAAAV’s Managing Director, for joining us for a talkback after the film. It was such an honor to hear about all of the incredible work put into making this film and the stories of all the inspiration organizers fighting to make NYC affordable for our immigrant neighbors.
A special shoutout to all of our sponsors for making this night possible!
@kitsbystudio for hosting us in your beautiful space
@potluckasianam for providing bbq pork buns from Chinatown’s very own Golden Steamer
@ninetreasurescreamery for providing your brilliant ice cream
@cakesbylexi for the custom CAAAV cookies
@chenziofficial for feeding us your amazing potato ball dumplings
@grandteaimports for keeping us hydrated with your lovely assortment of teas
@spongiescafe for the always delicious sponge cakes
Much love to everyone who donated, who came out to watch the movie, and who came to support such an important cause.
