Last but not least … our final DME Company member is … Patrice Rubian ✨✨✨

Patrice Rubian is a local of Shakopee, Minnesota, Patrice breathes her Filipino culture through her artistry. As a graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, she holds a B.A. in Dance. During her time in college she was able to work with Carl Flink, Dr. Ananya Chatterjea, Shapiro & Smith Dance, Laura Selle Virtucio to set repertory pieces and classmates for composition pieces. She received the opportunity to take her 11-minute original choreography “tanggal” to remove or separate (2025) to the 2026 North-Central American College Dance Association adjudication concert and received People’s Choice. Additionally, she was heavily involved with Choreos UMN Dance Community on the UMN campus and fulfilled different positions to provide for the community. By collaborating with the board, Patrice helped coordinate artists Jasper Sanchez, Audrey Lane and Tristan Edpao to teach master classes. In June, Patrice was part of the Atmosphere Cast for Usher and Chris Brown’s R&B Tour for the Minneapolis stop. Patrice teaches and choreographs for Shakopee Just for Kix as a head coach and assistant coach. Occasionally, she joins local Twin Cities dance groups for performances around Minnesota.
