Yuma Police Uncover Alleged $2.8 Million Fraud Scheme at Local Business
YUMA, AZ — Yuma police have arrested a 40-year-old man following an investigation into an alleged multimillion-dollar fraud operation involving a local business.
Authorities identified the suspect as Alfredo Bedolla, a former employee accused of making unauthorized purchases of mechanical parts between 2024 and mid-2026.
The investigation began in July after the business reported suspected losses exceeding $1 million. Detectives later identified approximately $2.8 million in unauthorized merchandise purchases.
Investigators say the merchandise was resold at heavily discounted prices through eBay and direct deliveries, with payments collected through PayPal from buyers across the hemisphere.
Bedolla was arrested October 21 and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on multiple felony charges, including theft, trafficking in stolen property and fraudulent schemes. His bond was set at $200,000.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Yuma police at 928-783-4421 or anonymously at 928-782-7463.
