Most of you know me and the world of creativity I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of my entire career. The start of my career began in the luxury home furnishings world, including window dressing, luxury home buyer, team leader, visual merchandiser, showroom designer and winter and holiday set up guru!! (At one point in my career, I was the Visual Merchandising Director for a 175,000 sq ft showroom! And that role really showed me how much I love logistics and operations.)

Working small boutique shops allowed me to wear many hats, and that expanded my experience to include marketing, (including guerrilla + experiential) PR, events, private parties, luncheons, late night shopping, fashion shows and art fairs.

And over the last 7 years of my life, I’ve added home staging, residential styling and commercial models to my repertoire.

I’ve also been so fortunate to have been the Director of Lifestyle for the Hewing Hotel, which gave me the freedom to create wonderful, exciting and unique events featuring local artists, musicians and creatives, and all while building community. This roll expanded my joy for events and activations and allowed me to work with some of the most wildly talented people!

I’ve also been able to partner with some amazing people who’ve brought me into some absolutely wonderful events and activations such as the celebration of the luxury wing opening at Southdale…thank you, @jodimayerssps! And philanthropic galas that created magic and much needed funds to survive with the Guthrie Theater, Goodwill-Easter Seals and CommonBond Communities.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how grateful I am to have had such lovely mentors in my life who’ve helped bring me up. (Some are no longer with us but what they gave me, I’ve tried to carry forward in honor of them.) I never grew up knowing what my career was going to be, which kind of left me floundering at times. But now I look back and see what a gift it’s been to live such a creative life!
