If you like geology, volcanoes, and unusual rocks… add this area to your bucket list!

From colorful springs to craters to columns exposed by erosion… I can’t believe how many wild places are in close proximity to each other.

Make sure to leave no trace while you’re exploring. That includes packing out your trash, never carving on rocks, and treading lightly on fragile landscapes.

Places shown in this video:

📍Devils Postpile National Monument
📍Hot Creek Geological Site
📍Crowley Columns
📍Obsidium Dome
📍Mono Lake
📍Panun Crater
📍Inyo Craters

Do you get as excited as I do about volcanoes and interesting geology? 🤓

The basalt columns are just like the ones at Giant’s Causeway in Ireland! I’ve never seen them anywhere else! So cool!
