Which state has America’s worst gerrymander? After a year of redistricting battles, we have an answer. We’ve based our ranking on the results of thousands of computer simulations that draw districts without any consideration of partisanship or race. We compared each state’s map with the simulations, then sorted them according to two equally weighted measures: How many more seats the map gives one party, over the simulated estimates and how aggressive the gerrymander is, meaning how close the map is to the most extreme gerrymander we can cobble together out of the simulations. Because the simulations don’t take partisanship into account, some states are considered fair even if the map appears tilted toward one party or another. At the link in our bio, see how your state compares to others. Graphics by Eve Washington, Nate Cohn and Rumsey Taylor/The New York Times. Photo by Eric Gay/@apnews

…and somehow hours of running felt like a New York minute. official time: 3:37:58 2 half marathons, 3 olympic triathlons, 1 im 70.3 and the NEW YORK MARATHON… no better place to cross my last finish line of the year than right where it all started. i’m proud. i’m in tears. i’m laughing. i’m in pain. i’m ready to do it again (with more than 3 weeks of training). ❤️ #nycmarathon
#2 is the one most men aren’t ready for. 👀 1️⃣ You’re getting exactly the woman you met. No padding. No pretending. No trying to look like someone else because Instagram said so. If you marry me, that’s the version that stays. 2️⃣ I would never get implants just because a man wanted me to. Not even if he paid. If bigger boobs matter that much to him… he can get them himself. There. I said it. 3️⃣ I can wear your shirt, a fitted dress, or almost nothing underneath and still feel good in it. The men who swear they only like “big” still notice. Maybe a woman who actually likes her own body is harder to forget. 4️⃣ Steak is medium rare. Anything else is wrong. And I’m drinking whiskey, not some espresso martini bullshit. 5️⃣ I will not get in a Tesla or any other electric toy. If it’s not a V8, I’m not interested. 6️⃣ I cook. I clean. I raise the kids. But I’m not sitting at home getting bigger while you work. You come home to a woman who still looks like the one you married. So… natural and traditional, or already too much? 👀👇 The ones who aren’t running after #2 or the Tesla usually check the highlights. Most men stop here.
