Here’s my autopsy of last night and then we’re moving forward.

First, thank you. To everyone who supported me, shook my hand, showed up, shared a video, or believed in what we were building: I appreciate you more than you know.

I started this campaign as a Republican. The party wanted somebody else. So I ran as an independent and took on both Republicans and Democrats established candidates backed by millions of dollars and PAC money.

I was a first-time candidate backed by YOU. We built a people’s movement. I talked to everybody, shook hands, held weekly events, and showed up on social media every single day. You deserved somebody who would actually listen.

Meanwhile, getting the media to acknowledge I existed was a fight of its own. They wouldn’t interview me. They wouldn’t even write something bad about me, let alone something good. Leading up to Election Day, I watched coverage show my two major-party opponents while leaving me out.

Then last night, they had their pictures on the screen and a white silhouette for me. When I contacted Fox about it, I was told it was a mistake. They had my pictures. Why did I have to call it out to get it corrected?

It is what it is. You live, you learn, and you move forward. I’m not going to spend every day reliving an election.

I’ve got bigger things to do and people to fight for. My commitment to Las Vegas and Nevada didn’t expire when the polls closed.

I’m moving on, and I’m still showing up. Join me on this journey. We’ve got work to do.
