Feds picked up Dallas artist Sunday morning in Deep Ellum after an officer saw him in a ski mask pointing a loaded nine-millimeter at the crowd on Main Street. He got ten years in twenty twenty for aggravated robbery and gun possession, and walked out on parole in twenty twenty-five. Worth noting he’s not charged in the actual shootings that killed four people that same night — the feds are only going after him for the felon-in-possession angle, which is how they got him fast. They also rolled out something called Operation Deep Cover with DPD to crack down on the district.

Democrats are making gains in the 2026 midterm elections, with NBC News projecting the party will take control of the House of Representatives.

The Senate race is also shifting in Democrats’ favor, with the Associated Press projecting the party will win control of the chamber. Democrats have flipped key Senate seats in states including Texas, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina.

The results would give Democrats control of both chambers of Congress, allowing them to play a larger role in shaping legislation and overseeing President Donald Trump’s administration.
