Funny how everyone on that side of the community says that Sensual and the fusion styles are “not sexual” but dancing with an underage girl is all of a sudden inappropriate. Make it make sense. We all know the fusion dancers dress up sexualized movements and contact as “just dance” or “connection”. 🙄

We are qualified Ballroom and Latin dance teachers. Been in dance industry for 30 years. We had a successful dance school with more than 50 kids. Social dance was created for adults for socialising within adults. The connotation, late nights are not suitable for minors. Minors should have their own social circle at school. It was very uncomfortable to see the 15 year old dancing with random strangers who she doesn’t know. It also is not fair to adults participating who feel comfortable dancing with a minor. At 15 year old, she can be easily groomed. Where is child protection? Was there a policy in place?

As a parent… my concern is the pedos sexualizing her. Full grown women are sexualized (whether we like it or not, this is reality), imagine how gitty those gross people are right now with all the content. I love that the kids are out there enjoying the dance community and culture… but seeing them dress like adults, being out late like adults, being around adults doing adult things…. That’s a concern. We as dancers within the community understand that the movements we are partaking in aren’t sexual. Not everyone does, and it’s crucial to keep this in mind. Kids need to be protected. Her parents are proud I’m sure, as well as the community around her. Shoot, I’d be proud if that were my kid. Like in sports, age groups would be wise to keep everything fair and to protect the underaged.

its a social dance competition. culturally, in socials everyone dances together. tios, tias, sobrinos, sobrinas, etc. sensual is different, but that is the only time i was able to see the leas TRUE social skills when they adjusted to her because of her age, they couldnt rely in moves that were over sensualized that could hide mistakes. it truly showcasedn sensual SOCIAL DANCING and how it does NOT have to be overly closed to be sensual. p.s everyone says "their own category" but would you guys feel comfortable seeing clolse sensual moves between teens?

I saw that shit and thought where is the outrage from women? I saw another litle girl that looked about 10 years old dancing sensual with a grown man. Where are the parents? Wtf

Such a talented child, but still a child. Most of the leads I saw danced with her as if she is a child, age appropriate and kept his distance. Except @melvinbeltran_ , I don’t know what the hell was on his biscuit.

That's good that ppl danced with her in open position. It allowed her to express herself more, rather then feeling held down like when guys choose to be in close position most of the time.

Lol so real. "I'm not gonna be the one to find out." 😂 I don't think that's being part of the problem. It really is just respect. I think its actually a little unfair to the leads competing to put an underage girl in there, because they can't dance how they normally would with her.
