Amor Fati tattoo flash collection by Baltimore tattoo artist @inokutattoo. Seven illustrated black-and-grey designs on textured cream paper, including expressive crying hearts, a horned heart, a melancholy devil cherub, and a small hooded skeleton holding a mug. Elegant purple “Amor Fati” lettering stretches across the top. The collection combines gothic romance, fine-line illustration, and melancholic imagery.

Digital tattoo placement mockup featuring a woman wearing black underwear against a warm tan background. Three Amor Fati flash designs are digitally positioned on her body: a crying heart with decorative flourishes on the upper chest, purple “Amor Fati” script across the ribs, and a small devil cherub on the upper thigh. The mockup demonstrates possible tattoo placements and scale.

The idea of being the “perfect housewife” in the 1940s came with a long list of expectations that would seem almost unimaginable today. 🤍

Women were often expected to maintain a spotless home, prepare dinner before their husbands arrived, dress neatly, greet them with a smile and avoid discussing problems after a long working day.

Household advice from the era also encouraged wives to listen patiently, avoid interrupting their husbands, create a peaceful atmosphere and put their husband’s comfort first.

Behind this idealised image was a demanding reality. Many women spent their days cooking, cleaning, raising children and managing the household, often without the modern appliances we take for granted.

These rules reflected the traditional gender roles promoted at the time, although not every household followed them.

Which of these expectations do you think would cause the biggest controversy today?
