WILL I EVER MAKE IT?

Will I ever make it into the film industry?

A question that has been eating at me for the longest time, as I look back on what has been a chaotic journey of self-discovery.

Johannesburg. A city of hustle, where survival often means chasing whatever puts food on the table.

Where sometimes, all that hustling leads you right back to the drawing board.

Different directions. Detours. Or perhaps, just misalignment.

Numbing the pain, hoping to feel something again.

And yet, somehow, you find the strength to try again in a city that offers endless possibilities.

The chance to grow, even in silence.

To pick up the pieces and find your spark again.

To slow down.

To reconnect with your inner child.

And perhaps, in doing so, find your way back to the path that was always meant for you.

A shooting star, maybe.

But the truth is, even when it feels like nothing is happening, you are still in motion.

Still finding the strength to navigate expectations you never chose, but somehow inherited from society.

Still trying to make sense of the person you are becoming and the dreams you are chasing.

So, where will this dream take me?

As I journey through this world, I cannot help but return to the same question…
