Researchers documented an unusual sexual bond between a male donkey and a bull during fieldwork in Ethiopia. The team was in the Ethiopian highlands to study gelada monkeys when they spotted Achille, a bull, and Patroclo, a male donkey, together in a nearby grazing area. Over a number of days, Achille was seen mounting Patroclo. Mounting was documented 51 times, with 34 of the events resulting in intromission. Another male donkey in the pasture flattened its ears and backed away when Achille tried the same thing. Patroclo never did, and appeared to present his hindquarters to the bull. The pair also licked, rubbed and nuzzled each other more than they did other animals, and they spent most of their observed time close together. According to the researchers, it appears to be the first documented case of a sustained same-sex sexual relationship between a bull and a donkey. The observations show animal sexual behavior can be a more complex social phenomenon than we might realize, the team says. Full story at the 🔗 in bio — @sciencealert 📖 Source: da Cruz et al. (2026). Albert Einstein was responsible for some of the most important scientific breakthroughs in modern history. He developed special and general relativity, explained the photoelectric effect, and changed how we understand space, time, and energy. His contributions were so significant that his name literally became synonymous with intelligence. But at the end of the day, the man was still a man. Doesn’t matter whether you’ve got a doctorate in theoretical physics or barely passed algebra in high school. Put a beautiful woman within a three-foot radius, and suddenly we’re all operating with the processing power of a gas station calculator.

A leaf slowly falls, joining a parade of colours on the forest ground. Against an indigo sky, bare branches begin their evening marionette show Dusk silently falls upon the village. A match is lit, a fire starts to crackle. A ribbon of smoke gently unfolds like lace, from a warm cup of tea. The buttery smell of a fresh cookie and the purr of a cat against the darkening sky outside. November is upon us. What are your favourite things about this month? I love twinkling lights and comforting hot chocolate, soft blankets and the crisp autumn air 🍂 #november #vintageillustration #bookcover #handpainted (I couldn’t pick a colour so I shared both)
Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms won the Georgia governor’s race, the Associated Press said. Bottoms focused on rising costs in her campaign. She promised that she would stand up to President Trump and work to expand Medicaid in Georgia. Bottoms is the first Democrat to be elected governor in Georgia in almost three decades.
