A little look inside my head from being pregnant for 6+ months now. Here are 2 pictures, only one year apart.
In the first, I had just finished tv-show No Way Back. Ten days of survival, and my body had given almost everything it had.
In the second, today, I am more than 6 months pregnant. I have gained 10 kg and I’m heavier than I have ever been. The body is an insane machine, isn’t it?
I thought being proud of this pregnant body would come naturally. It hasn’t. I hasn’t felt any good, I have just felt super fat and insecure. And what surprises me most is how easy it was to be proud of the skinny one a year ago and how hard it is for me to feel the same thing of this body today. The skinny body was super unhealthy and surviving and the pregnant body is growing a human. Yet the skinny one made me less insecure than my pregnant body.
Weird right?
Maybe that insecure voice was planted years ago, in the body fat-percentage tests at clubs? In coaches/clubs who used the fat-percentage against me after a bad game? The fat-tests stopped but apparently the voice stayed.
Now I’m learning to gain that confidence again. At a body that, without asking anything of me, is building a whole FREAKING NEW person. A heartbeat. Tiny lungs. Ten little fingers. NAILS.
Maybe it would be easier for all of us, women and men, (and especially football clubs, doctors and coaches) if we noticed strength before shape. If we stopped measuring athletes fat percentage and just care about how they perform?
Because this body, my body, bigger than ever, might be the closest to perfect it has ever been.

The first residence at 1 Mayfair, overlooking Audley Square, is realised.

Designed for grand entertaining and private living, every need is anticipated by @DorchesterCollection.

Spanning more than 600 square metres on a single level, with 3-metre ceilings throughout the principal rooms, it opens with a 14-metre gallery leading to three interconnected reception rooms, which flow together for hosting at scale and extend onto two private terraces. The principal suite and four further bedroom suites complete the private wing.

@DesignerJamieDrake brings a bold exuberance to the residence; one that speaks elegantly to the architecture within. Vivid colour, sculptural forms and vintage pieces complement the ornate finishes, bringing the vision of @JohnCaudwell into full view.

$For all the links, comment “closet” 🤍 You might have seen this setup before, but I still get so many questions about it, so here it is again! I set up Sophia’s closet about 10 months ago when she was a little over 2, and it’s honestly been one of my favorite little projects She’s been choosing her own clothes, helping get herself dressed, and following her morning routine without me constantly reminding her what comes next. I wanted to create a space she could actually use independently, not just something that looked cute. Everything is at her level, she has enough choices without getting overwhelmed, and the visual checklist helps her know what to do next. Here’s how we did it: 🤍 IKEA KALLAX– I left out one shelf to create space for hanging clothes. The inserts and bins are also from IKEA. 🤍 Clothing rod & push lights– Both from Amazon. She uses the lights next to her checklist to mark each step as done. 🤍 Visual checklist – The set includes 45 different images that you can adjust to your own routine. We also use these in our leaving-the-house setup! 🤍 Clothing labels - I also created a separate set of 52 smaller labels for organizing clothes, toy bins, and shelves. It’s such a simple setup, but it’s made a big difference in how independently she gets ready every day. And I love that we can keep adjusting it as she grows! \#montessoriathome #montessoricloset #independenttoddler independentkids toddlerindependen$
