Hj. Suharti, the founder of Ayam Goreng Suharti, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the age of 86. The sad news was announced by her family through the official Ayam Goreng Suharti Instagram account. Suharti began building her fried chicken business in 1956, selling her products door-to-door by bicycle from Yogyakarta to Surakarta. Her business became widely known for its signature fried chicken, topped with crispy seasoned coconut flakes known as kremes. Our deepest condolences on the passing of Hj. Suharti.
