📍Duffy’s Tavern
2108 SW 57th Ave, Miami
Est. 1955
Duffy’s Tavern has been bringing Miami locals together over cold beer, good food and sports since 1955. Sitting on Red Road just west of Coral Gables, this neighborhood staple has a history that stretches back even further. The building dates back to 1929, originally built as a house. The first bar at 2108 SW 57th opened in ‘37 and operated under multiple names until Martin Duffy took over in 1955. Since then, it’s become a frequent stop for Fins and Canes fans to gather on game day for a beer and a bite. If the walls could talk, they’d tell one hell of a story.
Enough bar eye candy to stay busy for hours looking around, old photos, Miami memorabilia and the dive essentials like license plates and neon signs. Duffy’s feels like a scrapbook of Miami and has become my favorite bar in the 305. For 70 years and generations of locals, Red Road has led to Duffy’s.
