November is Epilepsy Awareness Month šŸ’œ Iā€™ve gone back and forth about sharing this because, for a long time, epilepsy was just a part of my life that I kept pretty private. There are so many parts of someoneā€™s story that you canā€™t see just by looking at them. The fears theyā€™ve carried, the things theyā€™ve had to learn to live with, the moments that have changed them, and the strength theyā€™ve had to find along the way. Epilepsy is one of those parts of my story. It has taught me that strength doesnā€™t always look like being fearless. Sometimes strength is learning how to live fully even when there are things you canā€™t control. Itā€™s choosing to keep dreaming, laughing, loving people, and showing up for your life without knowing exactly what tomorrow will hold. There have been moments when I wished this wasnā€™t part of my story. But looking back, I can also see how much it has shaped the way I see life. It has made me more grateful for ordinary days, more aware of what other people may be carrying silently, and more appreciative of every opportunity I get to do what I love. Most importantly, Iā€™ve learned that having epilepsy does not make me any less capable, strong, or myself. Iā€™m still learning. Iā€™m still growing. And Iā€™m still trusting God with the parts of my story that I donā€™t always understand. So this month, Iā€™m sharing a piece of mine in hopes that someone else feels a little less alone ā€” and as a reminder to be kind. You truly never know what someone is fighting behind the scenes. šŸ’œ Epilepsy is a part of my story. It is not the definition of it. #NEAM2026 #wherecommunitysparkshope
