A longtime expert in early childhood and trauma education, Dr. Dearani brings a wealth of experience and a passion for innovative, student-centered learning to this leadership role. Her appointment comes at an exciting time for the School of Education, with incoming education students doubling compared with last year, the launch of Maine’s first educator residency program, and the introduction of a new master’s degree focused on trauma healing and community wellness.
