دلیل اینکه لی مین‌هو تصمیم گرفت توی «قاتل(ها)» بازی کنه :

مینهو خودش توی برنامه «جیان‌هان هیونگ» توضیح داد چرا این اثر رو انتخاب کرد.
کلیدواژه‌های این کار آزادی و حقیقته،
اما من کسی‌ام که به قدرتِ حقیقت و حقیقت‌مندی باور داره
و معتقدم «اصولاً همه‌چیز باید بر همین پایه بنا بشه.»

در نهایت، این اثر داستان آدم‌هایی بود که در برابر زمانه‌شون سر خم نکردن
و می‌خوان اون پرونده‌ی مشکوک رو
بر اساس باور خودشون تا آخر پیش ببرن.

شخصیتی که من بازی می‌کنم، یونگ-ایل،
زندگی‌ای کاملاً امن و تضمین‌شده داره،
اما کسیه که حس می‌کنه «این زندگی، راه من نیست»
و «توی این چارچوب، احساس زنده بودن نمی‌کنم.»
برای همین، آخرش به این جا می‌رسه که
شغل خبرنگاری—
نمی‌دونم چیه،
اما فقط وقتی این کار رو می‌کنه حس می‌کنه زنده‌ست
و حس می‌کنه باید این راه رو تا آخر بره.
یونگ-ایلِ اون روزها همین رو توی خودش داره.
برای همین واقعاً می‌خواستم این نقش رو بازی کنم.
The reason Lee Minho decided to appear in The Assassin(s) :

Lee Minho personally explained on "Jjanhan Hyung" why he chose this project.

The keywords of the work are freedom & truth,

but I'm someone who believes in the power of that truth and truthfulness,
and someone who thinks 'fundamentally, that should be the foundation.'

In the end, this work was the story of people who, without yielding to the times,
try to see that suspicious case through to the end according to their convictions.

The character Young-il that I play
already has a very stable and secure life,
but he's a friend who feels 'this life isn't my path'
and 'I can't feel alive within this.'

So in the end,
my job as a reporter—

I don't know what it is,
but only when I do this does it feel like I'm alive,
and it feels like I have to see this through to the end.
That's the Young-il of that time, contained in it.

That's why I really wanted to take on this role.
