Sebelumnya, Minho berpartisipasi dalam ‘2026 JTBC Seoul Marathon’ yang digelar pada tanggal 1 November. Ia berhasil menyelesaikan lintasan penuh 42,195 km dengan catatan waktu 3 jam 00 menit 18 detik. Meskipun ini merupakan tantangan lintasan penuh pertamanya, kontroversi muncul setelah terekam bahwa seorang pace runner tampak mendorong Minho dari belakang sambil meletakkan tangannya di pinggangnya. Sebagian netizen menyoroti bahwa berdasarkan peraturan teknis Federasi Atletik Korea dan Federasi Atletik Dunia, tindakan menerima bantuan fisik atau dukungan fisik dari orang lain selama pertandingan dapat dianggap sebagai bantuan yang tidak sah, dan menuduh bahwa hal tersebut melanggar peraturan lomba maraton.
