Kenyan musician Bahati has reportedly been using his much-publicised wedding plans with Diana Marua to attract public attention ahead of the official launch of his political career on November 6, 2026.

The singer and his longtime partner have been teasing Kenyans with claims of an upcoming wedding, with the couple creating anticipation around the supposed ceremony scheduled for November 6.

However, fresh claims from a source close to the family suggest that the highly publicised wedding could be a calculated publicity stunt, with Bahati instead preparing to officially launch his campaign for the Mathare North parliamentary seat.

According to the source who spoke to Plug TV, the musician is expected to unveil his political ambitions on the same date, seeking to contest the constituency seat under the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The source further claimed that Bahati's demand for guests to produce KSh1 million to attend the supposed wedding was part of a fundraising strategy aimed at raising money to finance his parliamentary campaign.

The revelation suggests that the musician may have been using the wedding narrative to generate social media engagement and public interest while preparing to make his political debut
