Some moments really do take years to find their way back to you. 🥹❤️
Back in 2019, I met you at a fest, and I remember being introduced to this whole world of dance communities online through you. I couldn’t attend your workshop back then which I regretted for a long time, and honestly, I never imagined that years later I’d actually be standing in a room, learning from you yourself.
And what an incredible human being you are and an even more beautiful teacher.
For me, dance has always been about feeling the song, understanding the emotion behind it and then finding a way to express it. And somewhere along the way, especially in workshops these days, where there’s so much to cover in such little time, that part can sometimes get lost in teaching.
But you made sure it didn’t.
You were absolutely right...We weren’t really there just for the choreography. We were there for the STORY. And what a storyteller you are, @vinayakghoshal ❤️
You reminded me why I fell in love with dance in the first place - not just to get the steps right, but to feel something, understand something and make someone else feel it too.
And yes… by the end, it did get a little overwhelming. 😂🥹 Six hours of dancing, travelling beforehand, getting late, and being completely awestruck by your energy and personality probably took over my brain because I genuinely walked out feeling like I had forgotten almost everything!
But somewhere inside me, I know I haven’t. Whatever you taught us is still there — in the way I felt the music, the way I understood the story, and the way I experienced those six hours.
So, a HUGE thank you for giving me one of those core dance memories that I know I’ll carry for a very, very long time. ❤️
