Dear my perfectionist dentist sis, ✍🏼
You did everything right. You studied hard, served on mission trips, made it through dental school, and walked across that stage believing you were ready to change lives.
Then came the transition into real life, and it hit like a storm. The Sunday scaries. The patient who hates “the dentist.” The quiet voice asking, “Am I doing this right?”
Meanwhile, social media makes it look like every other new grad is thriving. Perfect smiles, big cases, loving every minute. So you smile too, and say you’re doing fine.
But sis, it’s okay to be real here. You don’t have to pretend.
If no one has told you yet: struggling in your first years does not mean you failed. It doesn’t mean you heard God wrong. It means you’re in a hard season, and storms don’t last forever. You were never meant to weather this one alone.
I’ve been exactly where you are. That’s why I started Set Apart Crowns: a space for Christian women dentists to find encouragement, truth, and hope in the early years of their calling. 👑
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
If this is you, comment “ME” so I know you’re here. And send this to a dentist sis who needs it today. 💗
