Comment ‘LABS’ and I’ll send you my grocery list of the best foods to improve your health markers 👇🏾 Ladies, the color on your plate is a clue to what it does for your body. Eat the rainbow: 💜 Purple (blueberries, blackberries, purple cabbage, eggplant, purple grapes, plums), anthocyanins studied for your brain 💛 Yellow (yellow peppers, pineapple, lemon, mango, ginger, turmeric), vitamin C for your immunity ❤️ Red (tomatoes, red peppers, strawberries, pomegranate, cherries, watermelon), lycopene and antioxidants for your heart 💚 Green (spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, asparagus, avocado), foods that support your liver 🤍 White (garlic, onions, mushrooms, leeks, cauliflower, fennel), prebiotics for your gut These aren’t medications, but getting a range of colors in every day can play a real role in how you feel. Comment ‘LABS’ and I’ll send you the full list 👇🏾
When you hear another kid tell your kid “you can’t play with us,” it can hit you right in the chest. Of course you want to march over and fix it. Here’s what I want you to do instead: 1️⃣ Remember this is not an emergency. It’s painful, but only emergencies need urgent action. 2️⃣ Just watch. Say nothing for 10, 20, 30 seconds. Your kid might handle it before you ever have to step in. 3️⃣ Think about the future. Your kid is learning patterns now that will play out when they’re 18, 25. You want them to know they have coping skills, not that someone will always swoop in to solve it. 4️⃣ Hold back on “You have to let my kid play.” When we do that, we’re teaching our kid they should want to be accepted by people who aren’t being kind to them. If it still stings later, for them or for you, that’s okay too. You can say something like: “That was a hard moment at the park. I’m here if you want to talk about it.” Then let them lead.
