Dude, remove the SD card from da camera and either insert into SD slot on PC or Slap-Top or buy an adapter (for next time) and copy that way, Laptop is more than likely scanning the files from the camera as it most likely thinks there could be viruses or the cable is dodgy or a few other issues.....
