A lot of you might not know that I’m the granddaughter of the one and only @thespicynonna ❤️🇮🇹 My Nonna has played such a huge role in shaping the person I am today, especially when it comes to my love for animals. Growing up, my grandparents' home was basically my own personal animal sanctuary. Cats, dogs, rabbits… you name it. If there was an animal I desperately wanted but wasn't allowed to have at home, there was a pretty good chance my grandparents would welcome it into theirs. 😂❤️ Because of them, I was able to live out so many of my childhood dreams of caring for animals, and I truly believe those experiences helped shape the career and life I have today. Both of my grandparents are incredibly hardworking people who taught me the importance of a strong work ethic, entrepreneurship, and, above all else, family values. These are lessons I carry with me every single day. I'm so proud of my grandparents and everything they've accomplished. If you aren't already following @thespicynonna, you're missing out! They're talented, hilarious, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Love you, Nonna and Nonno! ❤️ 📸 @souldog_collective
We’ve had so many DM’s this week asking HOW Sam did this, so here’s exactly how! (And yes, that’s real breast milk!! 🥹❤️) When we found out I was pregnant with our twins, Sam decided she wanted to try something called induced lactation, which is basically the process of getting your body to produce breast milk without ever being pregnant! Here’s how she did it: ▫️ She followed something called the Newman-Goldfarb protocol, which is a method used to induce lactation in non-gestational parents. ▫️ She took prescribed medications, including domperidone, to help stimulate milk production. ▫️ She pumped EVERY 2–3 hours, including overnight! She never went longer than 4 hours without pumping. The dedication was wild!! 🥹 ▫️ Over time, her body started producing breast milk, starting with tiny drops and increasing! ▫️ By the time our twins were born, she was already making milk and was able to breastfeed them right away (we already had a deep freeze full too!) And that’s how our boys ended up being breastfed by the mom who DIDN’T give birth to them! 🥹 One of the coolest parts of our two-mom journey was getting to experience motherhood in such different ways. I carried and gave birth to our twins, and Sam got to experience breastfeeding them! Induced lactation isn’t guaranteed to work for everyone, and milk supply can vary, but it’s pretty incredible that this is even possible! We share this because SO many people have no idea that non-birthing moms, lesbian parents and adoptive parents can sometimes breastfeed too! 🤍 I’m so proud of her for doing this!!!
Sorry to the runner who had to place this order x #BBUK
The only words we need!😂
And just like that, the jack o’lanterns have flickered out. The dead have returned to their slumber. And in a moonlit cemetery, our favorite little mischief demon is saying goodbye. For now. But don’t cry because Halloween is over. Smile because you survived it. Sam will see you next year.
