Fall has officially arrived and with it comes an increase in the air + space elements.
In Ayurveda, we call it Vata season. The qualities of Vata are light, dry, mobile, cool, rough and subtle.
When Vata is balanced, you feel creative, flexible, and grounded.
When Vata is out of balance, you may feel ungrounded, anxious, depleted, or experience dryness and pain.
(FYI..Menopause is known as the Vata season of life)
Ayurveda offers a guide to help you adjust your diet and lifestyle to the season, promoting optimal health and preventing imbalances.
In this hands on workshop we will explore how to balance digestion (Agni) this Fall by favoring foods/herbs (and movement) that bring grounding, hydration and nourishment.
Sweet, sour and salty tastes are balancing for this season.
And also learn how to give the nervous system the same things we’re giving the gut: warmth, weight, oil and rhythm.
We will learn the importance of WHAT, HOW, and WHEN you eat by:
🍁honoring the seasonal rhythm of the Fall
🪴incorporating the six Ayurvedic tastes or rasas
⏰ paying attention to circadian rhythm/ the ayurvedic clock
@onthelinewithangie and I have planned a seasonal nourishing menu which we will all cook together and enjoy around the dinner table.
Sunday, Nov 1st 3-6pm Summit
