$East Carolina freshman David Coleman Jr. is out with a broken leg after a referee slipped and crashed into him during Saturday’s game against Temple. The back judge was running in after a first half kickoff when he lost his footing and slid into Coleman’s leg, leaving the safety unable to put any weight on it. Coleman was helped off the field and taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured fibula. ECU head coach Blake Harrell said the official was coming in to make sure players had heard the whistle and were separating when he slipped. Coleman, a three star recruit from Kingsland, Georgia, had seven tackles in his first season with the Pirates. ECU went on to win the game 17 to 9, improving to 4 and 4 on the season. #ecu #viral #football #collegefootball$
