I’m sorry for all of the things I said 😩

Sometimes, saving a life requires diving right into the deep end.

After discovering this baby elephant trapped in a well, Roan and the team knew that time was tight. Her mother was standing guard, frantic but helpless, so the first order of business was to drive her a safe distance away. Then there was nothing left to do but jump in and haul the little (a relative term — she weighed in the region of 200 kg) calf out. Once she found her feet, she ran off and reunited with her mother at the tree line.

During the dry season, resources are scarce — and sometimes, the quest for water can have life-threatening consequences. There are countless wells like these, dotted across private land and not dug with wildlife in mind.

It’s a formidable challenge — but we have found that one of the most effective ways we can help is by being present, in the air and on the ground, so that emergencies can be acted upon. That’s how this little calf was discovered and rescued.

Wishing you an impishly happy Halloween.

How spooky is your costume this year? 🎃👇

(Sound on for full ambiance⚡)

Grand Theft Nonna, Episode 5: New York. 🧓🗽🚗

Same 84-year-old grandma from the deep south (no, further down than that), same rolling pin, same questionable Fiat Panda. New city, new crimes, same zero patience. New York, you've been warned. 🥖

Mission 1: the e-bike guy flying the wrong way, no lights, straight through a crosswalk. 🚲
Mission 2: the bully who kicked a dog. Bad idea. The worst idea he's ever had. 🐶
Mission 3: the thief who emptied a hot dog cart's cash box. 🌭
Mission 4: the guy who stole a subway sax player's tip hat. 🎷
Mission 5: the package thief on the Brooklyn stoop. 📦

Five missions, no bosses, no speeches. Just justice, served with a rolling pin. And yes, the dog is staying with Nonna now. He's in the Panda. He's not leaving. 🐕❤️

👇 Tag the friend who needs Nonna in their neighborhood. 😤

Where should she go next?

I’ve been sitting on the idea of talking about this for a while now, but it was an itch I had to scratch. So I’ve written it all down over on Substack, where I have the space to get the thoughts out of my brain and onto the page.

Have I really moved out of London?

Comment LONDON and I’ll send the link straight to your DMs
