Meanwhile,
@captchamannheim is over, and I can finally show you all the branding that we worked on.
@schmitzpaul_ came up with the idea for the moiré effect, which is basically a visual phenomenon created by overlapping patterns, producing a sense of movement, vibration, and shifting — reflecting the idea of momentum.
We needed a visual, and during our research, we came across a running figure. We asked
@liebling.de to make our scribbles more characteristic, giving the figure its own charm and helping us create our own visual language. And that’s how the CAPTCHA figure was born.
We created all the print media with our new branding. We adapted it for our website, and the running figure was also perfect for the navigation design. We used it in the elevator to show our guests which direction to go, as well as for the wayfinding to the toilets and the different rooms. We also created the floor navigation with the running figure moving frame by frame, as well as the window graphics. We made stickers, posters, flyers and banners.
At the vernissage, we also used silver foil for all the description texts on the walls next to the artworks. Even the photos from our photo booth were branded.
We also had the idea of turning the CAPTCHA “C” into a keychain. We wanted everything to be branded so people would recognise it at our vernissage — and they did! And big thanks to
@carlahollstein.de who did the team lead!
