I could’ve found a hundred good fucking reasons not to start HQ. I’d just been put out of a job. Just became a dad. Money was tight. Life was already complicated. My hand was kind of forced, but nobody would’ve blamed me for finding another job and putting this off.
That’s what scares me looking back. I could’ve justified missing out on all of this.
Swipe through this shit. Then versus now. A year ago we were unboxing equipment and putting it together, trying to get this place ready. Now people walk through those doors every day and make HQ what it is.
I knew what I wanted this place to become. Seeing it actually happen is a whole different fucking feeling.
Stay at the job you hate. Skip the workout. Do whatever’s convenient. Whatever excuse pops into your head, tell yourself it’s a good enough reason.
You can do that shit forever. There’s always gonna be an out.
I had a lot riding on me and didn’t know how the fuck I was gonna make it all work. My back was against the wall. Still is some days.
But fuck, look at what’s happened in a year. Starting this shit was one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made.
So whatever that thing is for you, the shit you keep thinking about and then finding a reason to put off—do it. You’re scared because you’ve never done it before. Of course you don’t have it all figured out.
I didn’t either.
“One day” has to turn into an actual fucking day.
Take action, motherfucker.
