BACKFIRE. There’s something hilarious about companies bragging about how much money AI is going to save them, only to end up losing money because they got a little too confident. And they never make these decisions quietly. It’s always some big announcement about innovation, efficiency, and moving into the future. Meanwhile, the people who’ve been keeping the place running for years are being shown the door. Then a few months go by, things start falling apart, customers get frustrated, and suddenly those employees who weren’t needed anymore don’t seem so replaceable. The crazy part is that AI itself isn’t even the problem. It’s the companies thinking they can get rid of half their workforce, let a computer handle everything, and somehow make more money without anything going wrong. Technology is supposed to make things easier, but some of these companies got so caught up in cutting costs that they forgot people actually know how to do their jobs. And there’s something satisfying about watching a company brag about replacing people, only to find out those people were a lot more valuable than they thought. Imagine having to explain to your investors that the money-saving plan is now the reason you’re losing money. That’s one meeting nobody’s volunteering to lead.
