Medicinal Botanix will be at Samford Village Mkt next Saturday morning. St Paul's Church ☘️🌱🌿🍃
I'm so thrilled, I've just spotted a bee visiting, in my edible medicinal herbal balcony garden. The first bee, I've seen since creating this garden. 😍
I planted nasturtium as a sacrificial plant, because the bugs will gravitate there, however, this weed is so medicinal. It's loaded with lutein for eye health. It is also a highly prized digestive tonic and vermifuge. The seeds especially are a traditional worming treatment for animals. The seeds can be preserved in vinegar. For worms two teaspoons of the seeds.
The flowers added to a salad with olive oil as lutein is fat soluble and will pass the fat brain barrier to be absorbed into the retina.
