A past favor doesn’t excuse a current problem. A current problem doesn’t erase a past favor.

Say what you still need without rewriting what somebody already gave.

این همون نسل ۵۷ است فقط کمی نادانتر ولی با ادعاهای بیشتر.

I’ve been without a phone for two weeks, so I’m only now able to share my thoughts about Jesse Adams. ❤️

I’ve been going through eight years of Facebook and Instagram DMs between Jesse and me, and I’ve realized that most of our conversations were basically two grown men spooning through direct messages. 🤣🤣

The amount of love, encouragement, admiration, and emotional support we sent each other was ridiculous. And I wouldn’t change a word.
That’s who Jesse was.

What an honor and joy it was to know and love this man for eight years.

Jesse could change your entire emotional state simply by being present. His happy-go-lucky energy was infectious. His smile made you feel seen, special, and worthy of being here.

Random texts. Unexpected DMs. Little reminders that you mattered. He gave love away so freely.

Jesse was a hero to animals, but equally devoted to people. He found his purpose and jumped in with everything he had, committing himself to something greater than himself and serving those who couldn’t speak for themselves.
In 2022, Jesse joined our Mission Possible coalition to rescue animals left behind in Afghanistan. I grew to love this dude during that experience, and I’ve loved him ever since.

Which makes his tragic death in Ukraine so devastating.

His loss reflects the terrible darkness in our world. The cruelty, violence, and destruction that stand in absolute opposition to everything Jesse represented.

Jesse was the opposite of that darkness.

Where there was cruelty, he brought compassion. Where there was fear, he brought comfort. Where others saw hopelessness, he saw an opportunity to serve.

A man who devoted his life to bringing light into the darkest places was taken by the very darkness he was working to overcome.

It’s heartbreaking. Infuriating. Terribly unfair.

Yesterday would have been his 42nd birthday.

But a life isn’t measured simply in years. It’s measured in love given, lives touched, and service to others.

By that measure, Jesse lived an extraordinary life.

I love you, brother. Your light lives on. ❤️🐾

my milo. my mi mi. my toothless…

7 years of love, cuddles and loudest purrs. i thank vin every day that he adopted you for me and hid you from our parents. the universe and vin knew i needed you. from being a depressed 16yr old girl who barely left her room, to moving to a new city, a big beautiful relationship, a big beautiful break up, dream jobs, moving on our own and finding our way, you have been through it all with me. i will miss coming home to you jumping right into my lap, falling asleep with you on my chest and your purrs being so loud that it would wake me up from the deepest sleep! or how whenever someone else tried to show me affection you wouldn’t let them get close. the last few months of your life have been some of my darkest days and even though the cancer was growing inside your tiny body, you still would cheer me up better than anyone or anything. you hid your pain so i could feel mine. i’m sorry i didn’t figure that out sooner. i knew our time together would be shorter than most given your conditions, but the love and soul tie we share will never end. i didnt think i could feel this much. i hope you got your teeth and tongue back in kitty heaven and can finally eat your favorite treats and dry food again, but most importantly that you are free from any pain. i will love and miss you forever milo, may we cuddle again one day. 💫❤️‍🩹♾️
