Meeting every individual, each with their own strengths; every one of them holds a special place in my life. It's they who make my work meaningful… it's lovely to see the world through their eyes, to see their thoughts and concerns. I am so very humbled by this journey with them.

Watching them sit with the artisans, listen patiently, ask questions and slowly find their own design voice has been a joy. Each of them brought curiosity, sincerity and hard work, and grew in ways that I could see day by day.

We took the group photo at the Mahmud Gawan Madrasa, a place of knowledge in its heyday. We felt it was befitting for a craft-based design project of high academic value, one that adds a new, thoughtful vocabulary to the craft sector, co-created with the artisans.
