In modern football, we have increasingly adopted intense pressing and 1v1 marking. However, to break through this tactical approach, I decided to develop a counter-approach specifically designed to penetrate it.

When 1v1 play makes passing and progression difficult, especially when you do not have a highly talented player capable of beating one or two opponents through dribbling and creating solutions and spaces for his teammates, I decided to change the way we play the pass.

In this approach, players do not simply pass the ball directly to their teammates. Instead, we play the ball into specific areas that remain blind angles for the opponent.

This may appear simple, but the real idea begins when the opponent reads these spaces and closes them. At that moment, we rebuild the play from PH414 and PH417, particularly PH414, according to the specific characteristics of these areas and the tactical principles I explained partially in a previous post.

When we return the ball to these areas according to their characteristics and tactical function, one pass and one movement can be enough to break through the opponent's structure.

However, this tactical approach is not used at every moment. It is executed at a specific, predetermined timing agreed upon between the players, because this methodology requires speed, precision, and a high level of concentration.

As a result, it can create significant physical and mental fatigue, especially because most players have not yet been trained to play according to this new approach.

The video provides a practical illustration of the idea.
