September 27, 2026. Single-handedly the worst day of my life. I took this photo (note the heart shape on your hand under my hand 🥺) the night before when your hand was boiling hot to the touch with your high fever caused by severe pneumonia. Little did I know 12 hours later I’d be back to face my fears and hold your hand again but this time it was cold and lifeless with no colour. No cold winter night will ever match the coldness of your lifeless hand. Not even standing in the middle of Siberia wearing nothing! I also had to take off your watch which pained me to do (and I hope no one will ever have to experience the heartache and pain that comes with taking off their father’s watch). Daddy, you always held my hand when I was scared, now it was my turn to return the favour (even in death) so you wouldn’t be scared and alone, no matter how strong you were in this life.
