WHY BAD BEATS WILL NOT EVEN OUT!
Even if you don’t know sports betting, you’ve probably heard of bad beats. Most people who have suffered a bad beat will go on and on about how they got screwed by a bad call by a ref or some walk-on draining an otherwise meaningless 3-pointer at the end of a game.
The term bad beat is used in both poker and sports betting when something unlucky costs you a win. In poker, it broadly means you had a hand that was very likely to win until the other player got one of the few cards they needed to win. In sports betting, it is supposed to be when something unexpected or wild changes the outcome of a bet after it seemed assured the bet would win.
That may not stop someone from claiming most of the bets they lost were a bad beat.
