Last Sunday I had the pleasure of kicking off the “Hit ’Em With The Slickness” seminar series at AOGG Kivenlahti.
The idea behind these seminars is to help Jiu-Jitsu practitioners understand that while wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu are built around different systems, they shouldn't be compartmentalized. Instead, they should be viewed as interconnected disciplines.
My aim is to help attendees understand these connections by integrating folkstyle (jenkkipaini) wrestling techniques and concepts that lead to strong Jiu-Jitsu positioning and submission opportunities.
Thank you to Boris, Jungi, and AOGG for the amazing hospitality and good rounds. I really appreciated the level of professionalism you guys brought to the whole experience and look forward to the next seminar in your hood. 🤝🏽
Thank you to everyone who attended for your attention and interest in “folkstyle-jitsu.” I hope you left with some new tools that you can immediately use in your grappling game.
For anyone interested in efficient ways to utilize wrestling as a pathway into Jiu-Jitsu, feel free to reach out via DM. I still have some availability before the end of the year.
See you on the mats! 🤝🏽⚔️🫡
