*Edo State Commissioner of Police Charges 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Corps Members on Security and Entrepreneurship*

The Commissioner of Police, Edo State in Command, CP Patrick Daaor, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, paid a visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Okada, where he interacted with the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Corps Members deployed to Edo State, as well as those dislodged from Lagos State for their National Service.

CP Daaor commended the Corps Members for answering the clarion call to serve their fatherland and for maintaining a high level of discipline.

He lauded the NYSC Scheme for sustaining the tempo of national unity and integration for more than five decades. He also commended the Scheme for creating entrepreneurship opportunities for Corps Members through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.

The Commissioner advised the Corps Members not only to key into the SAED programme but also to take it seriously and utilise the skills acquired to become employers of labour rather than job seekers.

The CP also praised the State Coordinator for achieving such uniformity and discipline among the Corps Members within a short period. He further commended the camp officials for instilling discipline in the Corps Members and maintaining decorum throughout the Orientation Course.

Speaking on security, CP Daaor advised the Corps Members to prioritise their personal security and avoid negative peer influence.

He briefed them on the Edo State Cultism Law and warned against involvement in cultism and kidnapping, emphasising that anyone caught engaging in such acts would face the full weight of the law.

The Commissioner admonished the Corps Members to be law-abiding, carry their identity cards at all times, and promptly contact security personnel whenever they are in danger. He pledged to ensure their security and safety wherever they are posted to serve.
He also assured the State Coordinator that police patrol vehicles would be made available to accompany the Corps Members to their respective Local Government Areas of posting at the end of the Orientation Course.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Edo State, Mr.
