CHRIS ADLER — LAMB OF GOD ERA! 🥁🔥 When we talk about drummers who helped DEFINE the sound of modern heavy metal, CHRIS ADLER absolutely belongs in that conversation! His work with LAMB OF GOD is a masterclass in SPEED, PRECISION, GROOVE, and rhythmic CREATIVITY. But one thing I’ve always found FASCINATING about Chris is his approach to CYMBALS! In a genre where drummers often gravitate toward MASSIVE cymbals, Chris took a DIFFERENT approach. His setups featured smaller cymbals, including 8” and 12” SPLASHES and 14” CRASHES. And here’s what I absolutely LOVE. Chris would actually RIDE on SPLASH CYMBALS during some of Lamb of God’s HEAVIEST sections! Instead of the sustained WASH of a huge crash, those smaller cymbals delivered a TIGHT, ARTICULATE sound that cut through the distorted guitars. Of course, he wasn’t afraid to go BIG either. The man also played a MASSIVE 24” RIDE! And that SNARE DRUM! His 12” x 5.5” Mapex Black Panther produced that unmistakable, cutting CRACK that became such an important part of his sound. Combine those choices with his intricate double-bass patterns and syncopated grooves, and you get something instantly RECOGNIZABLE. Go listen to “Ruin,” “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” or “Walk with Me in Hell.” Some absolutely NASTY drum parts! But what makes Chris so important to me isn’t just his TECHNIQUE. It’s that he developed a recognizable MUSICAL IDENTITY. The cymbal choices. The snare sound. The intricate kick patterns. The way his grooves lock in with those CRUSHING guitar riffs. You hear it, and you KNOW who’s behind the kit. And THAT is one of the hardest things to accomplish as a musician. So much has already been done that finding your OWN sound can feel almost IMPOSSIBLE. But when you stay true to YOURSELF and YOUR musical tastes instead of constantly chasing what everyone else is doing, something truly PERSONAL can emerge. Chris Adler is PROOF of that! 🥁🔥 What’s YOUR favorite Chris Adler drum performance? #drums #drumvideo #metaldrummer #lambofgod #chrisadler
Why Does the President’s Party Lose? | US Midterms Why does the president’s party lose House seats in almost every midterm? Red or blue, the pattern runs back to the Civil War. Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton both won the White House, and both watched their party lose seats in the House two years later. Since the Civil War that was 37 of 41 midterm elections, and 18 of 20 since World War Two. The 2026 midterms made it 38 of 42. Most people call it buyer’s remorse. This Short goes through the seat record, the four exceptions, who stays home, and the close races, then what the founders built into two-year terms. Stay for the last line. What do you think about the president’s party losing almost every midterm? Let us know in the comments. Footage: Ronald Reagan Presidential Library; William J. Clinton Presidential Library. Ankita Bhandari’s parents were dragged from Raj Ghat on Wednesday evening as they staged a ‘maun vrat’ or a silent protest to demand justice in her m*rder case. During the protest, Bhandari’s mother, Soni Devi, reportedly fainted. Activist Yogita Bhayana said the mother collapsed after police forcefully removed the family from the site. Bhayana also alleged that after Soni Devi fainted, the police delayed taking her to the hospital, and then took her nearly 16 kilometers away to the Burari Hospital. The family has been demanding a fair CBI investigation in the case. They also demand a revocation of BJP leader Dushyant Gautam’s appointment as the Governor of Sikkim, alleging that he is the “VIP” involved in their daughter’s m*rder.
@kimkardashian did press for @allsfaironhulu in two archival @rabanne Couture looks, styled by @luxurylaw. She first wore a peach draped satin gown with a one-shoulder bodice of gold disc embellishment from the Spring 1989 Haute Couture collection, then changed into a peach high-shine column dress wrapped in gold chain lattice from the Spring Summer 1996 Haute Couture collection. Hot! Or Hmm..? 📸 #kimkardashian #kimkardashianfbd #kimkardashianstyle #pacorabanne #allsfair
