📡 Behind every fire response is a team working behind the scenes.

Dispatchers may not always be seen by the public, but their work is essential—and it certainly does not go unnoticed. They answer calls, coordinate resources, connect agencies and help keep fire operations moving, often under intense pressure.

The Richfield Interagency Fire Center (RIFC) was honored with the Utah Unit Citation Award for its multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency coordination during the Central Utah fire season.

Interagency Fire Centers aren't often recognized with this award, making this honor especially meaningful. RIFC has been nominated for the past two years alongside DPS Richfield Communications, Central Utah 911, Beaver County Dispatch, DPS Cedar Communications and Millard County Dispatch.

Laurie Murphy, Assistant Center Manager; Brecken Bradshaw, Lead Dispatcher; Emrie Monroe; and Landon Rowley, Central Area FMO, attended the Utah APCO & NENA Dispatch Awards Banquet in Ogden to accept the award.

👏 Congratulations to the entire Richfield Interagency Fire Center team! Your dedication, coordination and hard work provide critical support to fire crews and communities across Central Utah.

The work may happen behind the scenes, but its impact is felt. 🚒🔥
